2020 Year in Review

2,058 homes sold in December in the Charleston region at a median price of $314,500 according to preliminary data released on January 20th by the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors® (CTAR).

In 2020, 21,826 homes changed hands at a median price of $300,000 in the region. In 2019, 18,615 homes sold at a median price of $277,765. This reflects 17% growth in the number of homes sold and an 8% increase in median price over 2019 figures.

Inventory data shows 56% fewer homes for sale over the last 12-month period, with 2,440 homes listed as “active” for sale in the CHS Regional MLS database at the end of the year—representing just 1.3 months of available inventory, a new record low.

There are 159 properties listed for sale on Daniel Island. 83 are single family homes and townhomes, 40 are condominiums and 36 of the listings are for vacant land.

There have been 271 residential sales through September 30, 2019. 177 were single family homes and townhomes and 93 were condominiums. 222 were resales and 49 were new construction. Additionally, 46 homesites have sold.

There are currently 154 properties listed for sale on Daniel Island. 82 are single family homes and townhomes, 39 are condominiums and 33 of the listings are for vacant land. 113 residential listings are resales and the remaining 8 are new construction.

There have been 245 residential sales through August 31, 2019. 158 were single family homes and townhomes and 86 were condominiums. 202 were resales and 43 were new construction. Additionally, 42 homesites have sold.
