With hundreds of acres of parks, greenspaces, and 25 miles of trails, Daniel Island is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts! Parks are so critical to Daniel Island that almost every home is a short walk to a park.

This beautiful park is characterized by its marsh-oriented setting. Winding paths through a natural Lowcountry environment make Barfield Park a favorite place to take a quiet walk or run. A picnic gazebo is located at the edge of the park and is a great place for a small-to -medium sized gathering of friends and neighbors.

Children’s Park

Located on the banks of the scenic Wando River and maintained by the City of Charleston, this park is a local favorite. It features a water-oriented play area that is loved by island children. It connects running, walking and biking trails along the riverfront and a community pier for fishing and crabbing.
