It’s our annual tradition to get together with some of our dearest friends on New Year’s Eve. We usually have a houseful of children and we get out for one night of fun on New Year’s Eve. Now that we have 10 children between the 4 couples, we’re having to reconfigure our accommodations! So this year, we split up between two homes on Daniel Island. The boys would have loved to have all their pals under our roof so we’ll have to figure out something better for next year.

We had a marvelous dinner at the Daniel Island Club. The menu was fantastic and the fellowship was even better! It’s always fun to catch up with friends in a beautiful setting. The grill room looked like something out of a storybook. Everything truly sparkled! Even the linens were sparkly (is that even a word?!). The staff did an amazing job and our dinner was tasty, leisurely and entertaining.

The fun then continued in the ballroom. Papa-Sol was there and provided great music. I’m not much of a dancer but the gala was a blast. We welcomed the New Year with great anticipation. I always joke that I get the best birthday party of anyone I know (my birthday is January 1st) since EVERYBODY is celebrating 🙂
