We are so used to warm and sunshiny days that it is a challenge to figure out what to do with three kids when it is cold and rainy outside. Our local “go to” places are the aquarium, the Children’s Museum, or the Fire Museum.
To try something new, we took the boys to our very first South Carolina Stingrays game! Living in South Carolina, we are not very familiar with hockey. Sure, we cheer for the Blackhawks (as Chad’s family is from Chicago) but, truly, I have no idea what is going on during a hockey game! Well, we had a blast. We had seats right behind the glass and got to see the action up-close. The Stingrays lost but we got to see some great shots, a cool mascot, and an intense fight (which, incidentally, got the biggest cheers of the game).
Now that the weather has warmed up, we are off to Patriots Point to watch the College of Charleston baseball team (hopefully) beat UNC. Go Cougars!
What do you do when it’s cold and rainy? Would love some new ideas!!
