Here on Daniel Island, we get to enjoy being active and spending time outdoors as a way of life. It’s not uncommon to see groups of children heading to a nearby park, a community pool, or to school on their bikes. As our community grows and we bring more people and traffic onto the island, we want our kids to still be able to enjoy that carefree ride to the park AND be safe while doing so. The Rotary Club of Daniel Island in partnership with the Daniel Island Community Fund, Safe Kids Trident Area, and SC Safe Routes, is hosting a new event in The Children’s Park called the Kid’s Bike Safety Rodeo. This FREE event on Saturday April 18th from 9-11:00 will highlight safe practices and provide a course for children to maneuver through.
