This is the second year our older two boys have gone off to summer camp at Camp St Christopher. Although I’m one of those anxious parents (balanced by a husband who wants the boys to experience adventure), I really, really love this camp. Set on the pristine beaches of Seabrook Island, the campers stay in beachside cabins, complete with bunks, bathrooms and showers. They spend the week kayaking, sailing, seining, exploring the mud pit and playing rec games. Throughout the days, the counselors and staff lead the kids in prayer, Bible study, chapel and small group. Although we can only communicate by mail, I feel the boys are safe and well-cared for. The boys look forward to camp each year and have created some great relationships with the other campers. Although they return exhausted and with bags full of stinky laundry, it is a highlight of their summer vacation!
