Deep Water Home on Daniel Island

This deepwater home on Daniel Island is a dream. With amazing views like this, I would NEVER get anything done! I’d spend my days sitting on the porch watching the waves and the occasional school of dolphins playing in the wakes of the boats going by. But this house has more than gorgeous views! Did I mention it has its own beach at low tide?! You can see it clearly in the photo below. 1410 Smythe also has an open and inviting floor plan that makes it easy to throw a dinner party or spread out and relax. With both formal and informal dining rooms and two separate living areas on the main floor – this coastal-style home was meant to create an open airy feeling. On those gorgeous lowcountry days, you could open up the windows and doors to enjoy a delicious breeze off the Wando River. The downstairs master bedroom is perfect for one-level living. The bedrooms and separate living area upstairs are spacious and comfortable and the upstairs views are fantastic. I’m a total organization nerd and I LOVE the sunny and cheerful laundry/ mudroom.

Tired of being inside? No problem! This house has its own dock where you can take your boat out for a spin. You could easily take a 20 minute sunset cruise and enjoy a meal at one of downtown Charleston’s many restaurants (my fine dining recs would be Trattoria Lucca or Hall’s Chophouse) or cruise over to Mount Pleasant’s Shem Creek and pull your boat up directly at my favorite place, Tavern to Table! Want to stay closer to home? Daniel Island’s downtown shops and restaurants are a short bike ride away. Any way you spin it, this house is awesome.
