Before you read any further, look at the photo above. Seriously. My friend’s son turned 7 and the photo above is from his birthday party!! His mom (a dear friend of mine) is a whiz when it comes to birthday parties. Her son loves basketball so for her son’s “All Star” 7th birthday party, she had custom jerseys and backpacks for all the kids, the College of Charleston Mascot, some College of Charleston Cheerleaders, a professional breakdancing team, a real concession stand where the kids used tokens to buy pizza, hot dogs and snacks, a DJ with a professional light show, and much more. It was indescribably incredible! The photos and video don’t do it justice. So now my boys (who are very happy students at Palmetto Christian) now associate Porter Gaud with this fantastic party and say they want to change schools and attend Porter Gaud! 😉
This video will give you a taste of what the party was like!

Our weather hasn’t been the greatest lately so we’ve been inventing indoor games. Colin and Davis somehow came up with the idea of “Swedish Ships” (no clue what that means) and spent an hour scooting them around the house. Miles enjoyed his first peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and the bigger boys made amazing creations with their Citiblocs. We made it out for a “lake walk” and to Target but, other than that, we’ve been snugly inside.

I love the look of this new home. The “tower” will likely have views out to the Wando River!
