Daniel Island is home to some of the most beautiful live oak trees in the Lowcountry, and this year the Daniel Island Historical Society has decided to host an inaugural event called, “LIVE OAK LIGHTS: Illuminating Daniel Island History” on Saturday, March 21st. Click here for more details on the event.

If you’re a Daniel Island resident, we invite you to participate by lighting up any live oak trees on your property. Check out the details here. There are prizes for the best decorated tree.

Enjoy a guided bus tour and reception starting at the Daniel Island Sales Center or simply drive around the island that evening to enjoy the lights. Many island restaurants are providing discounts to event attendees.

Help make this new event a success!
